Unraveling the Lunar Enigma: 13 Intriguing Moon Mysteries

The Moon, Earth’s faithful celestial companion, has long captivated our imagination and piqued our curiosity. While it’s been the subject of countless scientific studies and lunar missions, the enigmatic lunar surface continues to conceal mysteries and controversies that challenge our understanding of this familiar neighbor in space. In this exploration, we delve into 13 perplexing and debated aspects of the Moon, ranging from unusual structures on its surface to unexplained phenomena that have fueled speculation and intrigue for decades.

1. Discovering Lunar Pyramids

On November 20, 1966, the United States launched the “Lunar Orbiter II,” and it discovered some pyramid-like structures on the lunar surface, reminiscent of the Washington Monument.

These structures clearly employ principles of geometry in their construction. Their arrangement is identical to the arrangement of the three great pyramids of Egypt.

2. Lunar Surface Modification by Humans

From photos taken by the “Apollo” astronauts of lunar craters, it was discovered that there are unmistakable signs of human modification on the lunar surface.

For example, within the interior of the Goclenius crater, you can see a right-angled structure, each side measuring 25 kilometers. There are also clear signs of construction both on the surface and along the crater walls.

Even more unique is another crater with smooth edges, appearing too perfect, featuring geometric shapes within. It seems as though lines have been drawn to divide it symmetrically. In the geometric center of the circumference, there are walls and their projections.

The outer side of the mountain has a sloping surface, shaped like a perfect square, with a cross inside, dividing the square into symmetrical sections.

3. Discovery of UFO Bases and Cities on the Moon’s Far Side

On December 25, 1968, when the “Apollo 8” spacecraft, carrying Commander Frank Borman and two assistants, entered the far side of the Moon for visual exploration, they discovered UFOs landing and took photographs. However, due to “secrecy,” this information was not revealed for a long time and only became public in the 1980s.

The photos were taken with a telephoto lens from a distance of 100 kilometers above the lunar surface. From the photos, it’s clear that a massive UFO is descending toward the lower left area of the lunar surface, with the UFO’s portholes clearly visible (some Western scientists claim that UFOs have been observed flying out from the far side of the Moon in recent years).

On the lunar surface where the UFO is about to land, there are tall crane-like structures, with spindle-shaped objects standing beneath them, all of equal height and evenly spaced, resembling markers on either side of an airport runway.

There is a “bridge” approximately 3 kilometers long and 1500 meters high, two objects resembling flags, and one resembling a figurine. Three large parallel pipes lead to a volcano, and on the ground, there are many peculiarly shaped circular or square buildings.

The release of this photo not only confirmed the existence of a UFO landing base on the Moon’s far side but also confirmed the existence of a city on the Moon’s far side, in line with what was reported by a Swedish scientific magazine in 1964 regarding the Soviet “Luna 9” spacecraft capturing images of “a UFO base and a city composed of unusually tall, peculiarly shaped buildings” on the far side of the Moon.

A Soviet scientist named Ivan T. Sanderson believed, “The structures resembling airport runway markers in the photos are markers guiding spacecraft landings or directing extraterrestrial spacecraft into the Moon’s interior.” Dr. Veris, an editor of a Soviet magazine, said, “The reason the Soviet government decided not to publish this astounding discovery was to prevent other countries from learning about the intelligence we possessed.”

4. Discovery of Fresh Human Footprints on the Moon

According to reports from a Hong Kong media outlet, during the first moon landing by the American spacecraft “Apollo 11” in 1969, astronauts discovered a total of 23 human footprints on the lunar surface and captured them with cameras.

This information was kept classified by U.S. authorities for 27 years until it was recently declassified upon the request of a group of UFO researchers.

American astrophysicist Compton told the U.S. news media, “Clearly, the discovery of human footprints on the Moon is astonishing and indicates that someone had already been on the Moon before the United States, and they were not wearing spacesuits.”

Compton also said, “According to the astronauts who landed on the Moon, there is no doubt that these footprints belong to humans and were left not long ago.” Common sense tells us that it is impossible for humans from Earth to land on the Moon barefoot or to fly to the Moon without the use of spacecraft. Therefore, those who left these footprints can only be “beings” from beyond Earth.

5. Discovery of a Missing WWII American Bomber on the Moon

In March 1987, Soviet artificial satellites transmitted faxed photos from the far side of the Moon, showing a vintage American bomber from World War II parked near a lunar crater. The fuselage and wings of the aircraft bore clear markings of the U.S. Air Force. Some speculated that it might have been taken to the Moon by extraterrestrials.

Scientists from both the United States and the Soviet Union had planned to establish a special group to conduct a secret investigation. However, when the Soviet satellite rescanned the area in July 1988, the aircraft had mysteriously disappeared. U.S. experts who had been secretly monitoring the situation acknowledged that the aircraft had vanished from the lunar surface on July 22.

6. The Enigmatic Apollo Program

When President Kennedy proposed the Apollo program in 1961, the objectives were stated as “conquering the Moon would enable world dominance” and “a space base could be established on the Moon by the end of this century.” However, two years later, Kennedy was assassinated, and his killer remains unknown to this day.

Ten days before his assassination, Kennedy had given a speech at Columbia University in which he mentioned deceiving the American people and preparing to disclose a world-shaking piece of news: the secret of UFOs and extraterrestrials!

After President Kennedy’s death, the Apollo program continued for twenty years. Apart from sending humans to the Moon, the only tangible result was the collection of 400 kilograms of lunar rocks, something that unmanned spacecraft could have accomplished.

In response to the questioning of the American public at the time, former NASA official Thomas Bay had said, “The true significance of sending humans to the Moon will become clear in history.” Does this imply that the true purpose of the Apollo program cannot be publicly disclosed?

7. The Wonders Between the Sun, Moon, and Earth

The distance from the Sun to Earth is about 395 times the distance from the Moon to Earth. The diameter of the Sun is approximately 395 times the diameter of the Moon. This makes the Sun and the Moon appear to be the same size when viewed from Earth, two roughly equal-sized celestial bodies, one governing the day and the other the night. Is this a coincidence?

As a satellite, the Moon is disproportionately large. The Moon’s diameter is 27% of Earth’s diameter. Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn also have their own satellites, and they have more than one, but their largest satellites have diameters of only 0.34%, 3.5%, and 3.75% of their parent planets, respectively. Earth’s satellite, the Moon, is exceptionally large in comparison.

8. Shallow Lunar Craters

Craters on the Moon are formed by the impact of meteorites and asteroids. However, the diameters and depths of these craters are not proportional, indicating that about four miles beneath the lunar surface, there is a very hard substance that meteorites cannot penetrate. What could this hard layer be?

9. Improbable Existence of Metals

Lunar lava contains a significant amount of extremely rare metallic elements such as titanium, chromium, and yttrium. These metals are exceptionally hard, heat-resistant, and corrosion-resistant, requiring temperatures of two to three thousand degrees to melt. However, the Moon is considered a “cold celestial body,” and there has been no volcanic activity for three billion years.

The lunar soil also contains pure iron and pure titanium, which do not seem to have naturally formed. Could these metals have been artificially refined?

10. The Unseen Side of the Moon

The Moon perpetually keeps one side facing Earth, and it was once thought that the far side of the Moon was similar to the near side, with many craters and lunar seas.

However, photos from spacecraft revealed that the far side of the Moon is quite rugged, with the majority consisting of small craters and mountains.

11. Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) on the Lunar Surface

Multiple astronauts have reported seeing UFOs resembling spacecraft. It has been said that astronauts frequently encounter UFOs in outer space, and many astronauts who returned to Earth couldn’t accept the fact of extraterrestrial beings and UFOs, leading some to suffer from mental breakdowns and hospitalization, while others changed careers to become missionaries.

For example, Neil Armstrong became a clergyman, and Buzz Aldrin underwent seven years of psychological treatment.

12. The Hollow Spaceship Moon

Many records suggest that the Moon could be “hollow.” Through the use of seismometers placed on the lunar surface, researchers discovered unexplainable moonquakes.

Moonquakes sometimes last for several hours, with shockwave speeds exceeding ten kilometers per second. The source of these quakes extends deep into the Moon, several tens of kilometers below its surface, but the shockwaves only spread outward from the epicenter and do not penetrate deeper into the Moon. This fact suggests that the Moon’s interior is hollow, with only a thin lunar crust.

13. NASA’s Secrets About the Moon

Kind-hearted American taxpayers have raised questions multiple times, asking, “Why did humans go all the way to the Moon?” Scientists have struggled to provide an answer to this question.

As we conclude our journey through these 13 Intriguing Moon Mysteries, it becomes clear that our closest celestial neighbor, the Moon, holds secrets and enigmas that continue to inspire wonder and intrigue. While many of these mysteries remain unsolved, they remind us of the boundless mysteries of the cosmos and the ever-present human drive to explore, question, and seek understanding. With future lunar missions on the horizon, we can only anticipate that the Moon will continue to reveal its hidden truths, offering new insights into the fascinating world that hovers above us each night.
